Poems in Paperbark Mag & The Rising Phoenix Review
Plus, a poetry reading coming up in Golden Gate Park, 3/16 @ 3pm
Hi friends — on Saturday, March 16th, I’ll be a featured reader at the Light Jacket Reading Series in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco at 3pm. Hosted by Amy Berkowitz and Erick Sáenz, I’ll be reading poems alongside Lora Mathis, Lauren Levin, and Lourdes Figueroa. Please follow Light Jacket’s Instagram for the exact location, and any updates in the event of rain. I hope to see you there :)
My poem, Nā Kahawai (The Rivers) of my Great Grandmother, Maude, is in the new print edition of Issue 05 of Paperbark Magazine (from UMass Amherst), which released this February. Thank you to the editor, Jennifer Valdies, for inviting me to contribute.
My poems, Noticing and Long-COVID (Seattle, 2022), are now published in The Rising Phoenix Review. You can share the poems and listen to the audio versions at the links above.
I am honored that my poem, Monday, the First Bright Day, was a finalist in this year’s Sandy Crimmins National Prize for Poetry. Congratulations to the winner & runners-up, who will be announced on Philadelphia Stories soon 🌀
Thank you all for reading - tips are extra appreciated today due to some significant unexpected medical expenses this month :) You can also support my work by buying my books.
